Khune, Mashamaite, Mphela, Masango and more players leave Chiefs

Top Kaizer Chiefs players Itumeleng Khune, Tefu Mashamaite, Katlego Mphela and Mandla Masango are all leaving the club.

The club chairman Kaizer Motaung put all the speculations regarding the players' departure to bed on Tuesday.

Motaung says it doesn’t take one or two players to make a team, therefore we are not going to be held to ransom and we decide to move on.

“With Mashamaite, we made an offer and his agent made a counter-offer. We exceeded that offer but there was a delay,” said Motaung.

“Mandla was made an offer, he came with a counter-offer, we made an improved offer, and he came with another offer.”

“Khune’s case became more disrespectful when he sent us a note to say he’ll speak to us when he comes back on 18 June,” Chiefs chairman added.

Chiefs have also confirmed the following players Josta Dladla, Simphiwe Mtsweni, Chris Matombo, Levy Mokgothu, Zitha Macheke, Ovidy Karuru will be loaned out next season.
