Moment of silence for victims of xenophobia: PSL

The Premier Soccer League (PSL) will observe a moment of silence ahead of their fixtures this weekend in respect of those who have lost their lives during the recent xenophobic attacks in South Africa.

According to a statement issued by PSL: “ The 32 Premier Soccer League club captains have joined chairman, Dr Irvin Khoza in taking a stand against violence and attacks on other human beings.”

At least five people have been murdered while hundreds where forced to flee their homes.

“Captains from all the clubs will read a message of solidarity for the victims of violence. The PSL calls for calm and tolerance. We say no to hatred of fellow human beings.”
