Clinton Larsen believes it is high time that Bloemfontein Celtic break into the top four in the Premier Soccer League.

The coach said with renewed confidence in the team, a surprise win at Bidvest Wits tomorrow night could help them do that this season.

They visit the Clever Boys at Milpark Stadium and kickoff is at 8pm.

Phunya SeleSele have won their last three games in the league and cup without conceding a goal, with Larsen suggesting his change in tactics is bearing fruit.

Wits, fresh from a crucial victory over Mamelodi Sundowns on Tuesday, will provide a stern test of this new-found confidence, but Larsen said his "different approach" could get them over the line. "The break for the African Nations Cup really helped us, we had a new technical team and it gave us an opportunity to work on some things."

Larsen said the team needed to play with more width, having been stifled under former coach Ernst Middendorp.

"It has always been the Celtic style to play with wingers and we wanted to return to that," he said. "They were playing very narrow under the former coach, with three midfielders and no wingers.

"Guys like Thapelo Morena, Joel Mogorosi and Lyle Lakay got almost no game time under the former coach, but are now starting to get that form back. As for where they want to finish up this year, having had two top-five and top-six finishes in the last five years, Larsen said fourth place was the new target for the club.
