Patosi has a hand in two goals for Lokeren

Ayanda Patosi put behind him the disappointment of being dropped from the Bafana Bafana squad for this month's Fifa World Cup qualifiers by turning in a man-of-the-match performance for his Belgian side Lokeren at the weekend.

Patosi made one goal and scored the other as his side eased their relegation worries with a vital 2-0 victory at Genk.

His performance drew much praise from the Belgian media and the victory moved Lokeren out of the relegation zone, though they remain in some trouble near the foot of the table.

Andile Jali played the full game as KV Oostende netted deep into injury time to force a 1-1 draw at Charleroi. The result means they have slipped two points behind leaders Gent.

Anele Ngcongca started for French Ligue 1 strugglers Troyes as their horror start to the season continued with a 1-0 home loss to Lyon.

Thulani Serero made his first league start of the season for Ajax Amsterdam as they thrashed Roda JC 6-0.

Tefu Mashamaite brought his first season in Sweden to an end as he played for Hacken in their 2-1 victory over Helsingborg.

The former Kaizer Chiefs defender made seven appearances after joining mid-year and has been praised for his play. His side finished seventh.

Ayanda Nkili finished his season in Sweden with an appearance off the bench for Orebro as they drew 1-1 at home with AIK.

Orebro finished the campaign in ninth position after spending much of the year in or around the relegation zone.

The league in Sweden was won by IFK Norrkoping, who had Grant Igesund, son of Gordon, on their books a decade ago.

Kagisho Dikgacoi's fine start to the season hit a hurdle after he missed Cardiff City's 0-0 draw at Ipswich Town through injury.
