Chiefs, Celtics battle over Abraw signature intensifies

Kaizer Chiefs and Bloemfontein Celtic are reportedly battling over the signature of Togolese striker Camaldine Abraw.

According to reports the striker has signed for Chiefs and the transfer fee has been settled.

"The officials from Chiefs and Stars have met and the deal has been concluded,” Soccer Laduma said on Friday.

However, Celtic chairman Max Tshabalala had previously rubbished reports that the 24 year old striker was due to join Steve Komphela's side.

“We are completely baffled by the alleged interest in Abraw by Chiefs. After being identified by our technical team as one of the players to be signed for this season (2015/16), he was approached and subsequent to that we made an offer that he accepted and signed at our offices,” Tshabalala told Kickoff website last week.

AmaKhosi will hold a press conference on Tuesday, June 23, to announce their new signings.
