Platinum Stars back to business

Platinum Stars became the latest Premier Soccer League side to return to work on Wednesday to start with their pre-season training.

With coach Cavin Johnson on the driving seat, the club is optimistic to regain the form that saw them winning the MTN8 and Telkom Knockout competitions two years ago.

“It’s time to work well before the season and I am glad everyone was back today,” Johnson told PSL official website.

The Phokeng side is hoping for a better season than the last when they finished in 11th position.

“I am very happy to see everyone smiling and rejuvenated for the new season, that is any coach’s dream to have a strong support structure that you work with," Johnson adds.

“I feel honoured and privileged to be a part of this team, it really shows that one is around a good team. I see good things coming and I am really looking forward to the new season. Bring it on!”

Dikwena has not announced any new signings ahead of the new season despite the departure of their striker Patrick Malokase this month.
