Do or die for AmaZulu

Securing a rare league double is a dream AmaZulu need to realise tonight in Pretoria as it holds their key to their Absa Premiership survival.

Anything less than three points against the University of Pretoria at Tuks Stadium could all but end their nine-year Premiership stint.

A win for Usuthu, coupled with losses for Moroka Swallows and Chippa United, will make Saturday's proceedings very interesting as Chippa have a date with Kaizer Chiefs, while Swallows host Bloemfontein Celtic.

Before they even think about entertaining thoughts about the last day of the season, Chippa and Swallows face obstacles in Mpumalanga Black Aces and Ajax Cape Town on the road respectively tonight.

AmaZulu's struggles in their past two games have been typified by the blanks-shooting Bongani Ndulula who has taken a back seat to Bongi Ntuli in the striking department. Ndulula has been guilty of missing gilt-edged chances but he, too knows the importance of winning in Pretoria.

"The team spirit always takes a dip after a loss, but we know what we want and we will . try to achieve that goal. We will work hard until the season ends. We know the Tuks game is very important, but all the other games are important. We have to win against Tuks though for we know it could be a do-or-die game and all we need is the three points," Ndulula said.

"We can't be underestimating the teams we beat in the first round because that is in the past."

If AmaZulu fail to win and Swallows beat Ajax, that's it, Usuthu will be relegated to the NFD.

Chippa, meanwhile, have ditched another coach in Mich D'Avray.

Their coaching instability is the stuff of legends but they will create another piece of history for themselves should they somehow get themselves into the relegation berths.
