Top goalscorer Lerato Lamola, whose early strike on Wednesday began the five-goal rout of Mamelodi Sundowns, will be staying at Bloemfontein Celtic next season, his coach Clinton Larsen insisted yesterday.

The 28-year-old has 11 goals in the Absa Premiership and leads the race for the Golden Boot.

Larsen insisted Celtic would not be selling any players in the off-season.

"All of our players are tied down so they won't be going anywhere," said the coach.

Celtic consolidated fifth place with a convincing 5-0 thrashing of the champions at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville.

"I thought we were brilliant defensively and we limited a very talented team to possibly no goalscoring chances," Larsen said. "I thought the midfield worked their socks off to protect our back four and goalkeeper, and we always knew we would be able to catch them on the break."
