Chiefs has what it takes to win the title: Baxter

Kaizer Chiefs has what it takes to win the league title says coach Stuart Baxter ahead of their must win clash against University of Pretoria tonight in an Absa Premiership fixture at Tuks Stadium, kick-off is at 19:30.

AmaKhosi will be without their suspended goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune who is serving the first of his two-game ban following his red card dismissal against AmaZulu a week ago.

“Every team is fighting for something at this stage of the season,” Baxter told Chiefs website.

“Tuks are a challenge, because they are looking to get into the Top 8. We just have to relax and continue to take each game at a time. There are no easy games.”

“The last games of the season bring different challenges,” insists Baxter.

“Three points are our focus,” Baxter reacts. “This team has what it takes to win the title. Working hard is the order of the day to win games.”

Amakhosi coach adds: “Morgan Gould is our real worry because he’s out for the rest of the season. Everybody else is available. We will be looking for freshness in the team to not lose momentum.”

“Every player must show wanting to be part of the team. Itumeleng Khune is suspended. However, Brilliant Khuzwayo and Reyaad Pieterse have been doing well as replacements. On who will be in goal against Tuks - it's a call I will make together with the goalkeeping department.”
