VETERAN midfield player Tinashe Nengomasha will find out today whether Mpumalanga Black Aces will offer him a contract, his agent Glyn Binkin said yesterday.

"Aces will make a decision on whether they feel they need his services for the season and then we'll negotiate a contract for him," he said.

The club must decide whether they need more muscle in the midfield for the coming 2014/15 season after already having strengthened their midfield with the purchase of Miguel Timm from Bidvest Wits and yesterday's acquisition of Edwin Gyimah from SuperSport United.

But coach Clive Barker earlier this week made it clear he was keen on the 31-year-old hardman.

"I just hope they can work out the personal terms," said Barker.

Nengomasha is available for free after Wits did not renew his contract at the end of last season.

Meanwhile, Khama Billiat will miss the start of the new season for champions Mamelodi Sundowns as he is still hobbling around on crutches after breaking his foot last season.

It is expected it will be at least two more months before he is able to take to the field.

The 23-year-old cost Sundowns a reported R8-million from Ajax Cape Town at the start of last season, scoring six goals in 19 starts for the club in all competitions.

On Wednesday, Sundowns confirmed the signing of Mame Niang from United, with Dove Wome moving opposite direction on a loan deal.
