LEHLOHONOLO Majoro is in line to return for Orlando Pirates after his recent car accident, having been given the medical all-clear, said coach Vladimir Vermezovic.

Majoro could well be picked in the starting line-up for the Easter Monday clash against Bloemfontein Celtic, the Pirates boss added.

He could likely team up with Thamsanqa Gabuza, who the coach praised for his performance in the 1-0 win over Maritzburg United at the Orlando Stadium on Tuesday night. "I thought he had a very good game and worked very hard for us. I don't understand why some in the crowd were jeering him. I was very satisfied with his performance," said Vermezovic.

Gabuza was given a rare start by the club and created the winning goal three minutes from time, converted by substitute Helder Pelembe.

Vermezovic expects an improved performance from his charges after what he said was a tired-looking showing against the Team of Choice after the emotionally charged cup win over Mamelodi Sundowns last weekend.

But he will have to do without influential midfielder Oupa Manyisa, who is suspended, and likely also flying full-back Happy Jele, who suffered a hamstring strain on Tuesday.

"We will have to see what the doctors say about Jele," added Vermezovic.
