THE spoils were shared when Thulani Serero came up against Kamohelo Mokotjo in the Dutch Eredivisie on Saturday.

Mokotjo's FC Twente took a first-half lead, but were pegged back in the second period as Serero began to gain control of the midfield for his side before he went off with 10 minutes remaining.

Mokotjo had the better of the game in the first half but could not keep his side on course for the win.

Serero will hope he can recover from tired muscles in time to be fit for what will be one of Ajax's highlight's of the season tomorrow night when they travel to the Camp Nou to face Barcelona in the Uefa Champions League. Serero scored when Ajax defeated Barca 2-1 at home in the same competition last season.

Darren Keet was also straight back into goal for Kortrijk as they won 2-1 at home to Waasland-Beveren to move into the top six after a shaky start to the season.

Steven Pienaar came off the bench to help Everton to a 3-0 victory over Aston Villa, winning the free-kick that led to The Toffees' third.

Kagisho Dikgacoi was again absent for Cardiff City as they won 2-1 against Nottingham Forest, while Tokelo Rantie was on the bench as Bournemouth won 1-0 at home to Charlton Athletic.

Dean Furman was rested by Doncaster Rovers as they lost 3-1 at Fleetwood Town.
