KAIZER Chiefs striker Siphelele Mthembu faces the pressure to deliver as he prepares for another meeting with former side Platinum Stars tonight.

Mthembu is the only striker in the Amakhosi ranks to have featured in their six wins in a row who is still without a goal thus far, with even Katlego Mphela chipping in with a late strike against the self-same Stars at the weekend.

With Bernard Parker said to have made a full recovery, Mthembu could find it hard to become a regular, something he enjoyed in his time with Dikwena, where he won two trophies last year.

He faced his former teammates twice in the two-legged MTN8 semifinal, and the man nicknamed "Shaka Zulu" is eager to break his duck in tonight's Absa Premiership clash at Royal Bafokeng Stadium (7.30pm).

"It was good to meet my old friends in the tunnel. We shared a bit of good memories. I was one of the lead singers and their singing took me down memory lane," he said of his two clashes with Dikwena, where Amakhosi won 2-0 in first leg and 3-0 in the second.

In an interview with the Chiefs website, Mthembu conceded he was still adjusting to life at Naturena.

"The coach [Stuart Baxter] wants me to understand the Chiefs way of playing. He is giving me an opportunity to learn and get integrated [into] the system.

"I know I have to start scoring goals but he [Baxter] told me to focus on adjusting first and understanding the Chiefs way. Then the goals will come."
