BLACK Leopards are upbeat about ending their National First Division campaign with a bang by beating Jomo Cosmos at Makhulong Stadium in Tembisa on Sunday.

This is bound to be an enthralling match as the two sides both need a win to stand a chance of qualifying for the promotion play-offs.

Leopards moved to third on the log with 47 points after registering a 2-1 win over FC Cape Town last Sunday.

It was also a good outing for Cosmos as they defeated Maluti FET College by the same scoreline at Charles Mopeli Stadium.

Jomo Sono's babes, who went down 2-1 to Lidoda Duvha in the the first round, are fifth with 46 points.

Leopards striker Edgar "Rambo" Manaka is certain the Limpopo outfit will make it two in a row against Ezenkosi.

"All that we need is a win and we will be in the play-offs. We are going to Tembisa with one thing in mind: to beat Cosmos," warned Manaka yesterday.

Cosmos captain and defender Gladwin Shitolo is equally confident they will defeat Lidoda Duvha.

In Polokwane, a draw against Thanda Royal Zulu at Peter Mokaba Stadium will be enough to guarantee Baroka FC a place in the play-offs.

Baroka, who have done well considering that it is their first season in the second tier, are second with 49 points.

Fourth-placed Milano United entertain league winners Chippa United at Grassy Park Stadium in a Cape Town derby.

After kicking neighbours Santos out of the race for the play-offs with a 3-3 draw last weekend, it remains to be seen if the Chilli Boyz will also end Milano's promotion dream.

Teams finishing second and third on the NFD log will qualify for the play-offs along with the team ending 15th in the Absa Premiership standings.
