Chiefs' last game at FNB

KAIZER Chiefs will be homeless after the weekend and will play their last three home games of the season away from FNB Stadium.

Tomorrow's Nedbank Cup quarterfinal match against SuperSport United is their last game at the iconic venue for the season.

This is because the grass at the venue has to be re-seeded due to a fungus before a major ANC rally scheduled just days before the May 7 elections.

FNB's management company had actually asked Chiefs to move out before but then agreed to the game against SuperSport being played there when the cup draw was made and Chiefs obtained a home tie.

It means Chiefs will play their next home game - against ASEC Mimosas - at Dobsonville Stadium and will finish the season in Polokwane, Limpopo.

Chiefs' last league game is against AmaZulu, and will now be played at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane on May 10.
