CHIPPA United will be hoping to put an end to a run of two consecutive draws when they host Roses United at Philippi tonight.

The Chilli Boys began the campaign in unstoppable form, cruising through to victories in their opening two matches, before drawing to Jomo Cosmos and then Thanda Royal Zulu.

The two draws have left the side slightly off the top of the standings - in third spot.

Chippa trail Milano United and African Warriors by four points.

Tonight's match against a Roses side sitting in second-last position will therefore likely be seen as a chance to get back to winning ways and also as an opportunity for new coach Ian Palmer to get his tenure off to a three-point start.

The action continues tomorrow with four further games, the pick of which could be the Milano United versus Witbank Spurs clash down in Cape Town.

Milano were in action against Ajax Cape Town in midweek, looking sharp as they held their PSL neighbours to a 0-0 friendly draw.

The Grassy Park side were last in competitive NFD action at the end of September, beating African Warriors 3-2, following which their match against Baroka FC was postponed.

Despite having played a match less than most of the other NFD front-runners, Milano remain top of the log and will be looking for their fifth consecutive win of the season against a Spurs side that has blown hot and cold.

Also tomorrow, Black Leopards will again be chasing their first win of the season, the Limpopo outfit having drawn four of their five games. Lidoda Duvha are at home to Blackburn Rovers, who occupy third-last position on the table.

Tomorrow's other fixtures see Sivutsa Stars hosting Thanda Royal Zulu, while Maluti FET College welcome Vasco da Gama to the Charles Mopeli Stadium.

Jomo Cosmos face an on-form African Warriors side on Sunday, while Santos are away to Dan Malesela's United FC side in the North West province .

Also desperate for a win are FC Cape Town, who host Baroka FC in Sunday's other action.
