Wits sign on Wolff

BIDVEST Wits have added left back Keamogetse Wolff, formerly of Ajax, Jomo Cosmos and Bloemfontein Celtic, to their squad for the new season.

He signed a one-year deal at the club yesterday as Gavin Hunt continued tweaking his squad before their opening game with Platinum Stars on Sunday.

Wits will have a look today for the first time at Niger defender Koffi Dankwa, who previously played in Tunisia.

Of the trialists that Bloemfontein Celtic used over the last weeks in tournaments in Pretoria and Giyani, only midfielder Keegan Buchanan has been signed.

The former under-20 international has been bought from FC Cape Town on a three-year deal, said officials.

The two Namibia internationals, who played against Kaizer Chiefs at Loftus Versfeld, will go back to Black Africa in Windhoek but Celtic will look at them again next year.

Denzil Haoseb and Willy Stephanus impressed chairman Jimmy Augousti and coach Clinton Larsen when they went to watch Namibia play Nigeria in a World Cup qualifier in Windhoek in June but after several weeks

Celtic have let go the Malawi international Hellings Mhongo but are still to make up their mind whether they will bid for left wing Mahlatse Makudubela from United FC.
