MADRID - Barcelona's plan to finish the season with 100 points will face its penultimate obstacle on Sunday at cross-town rivals Espanyol.

The Spanish champions need to win their last two games in order to reach 100, and equal the record set by Real Madrid last season.

Barca's veteran playmaker Xavi said: "We are really motivated to reach 100 points. This is something that is really driving us on."

Barca will make the short trip to Cornella without Fifa world player of the year Lionel Messi, who is still suffering from his hamstring injury.

Espanyol are 11th and have nothing to play for except local pride.

All 10 games in the 37th round of matches will be played at the same time on Sunday evening.

Real Madrid will have a difficult trip up to San Sebastian to face a Real Sociedad side needing the points to finish fourth. They are level with Valencia, who will receive Granada. The team finishing fourth will have a place in the Champions League qualifying round.

Bottom team Celta Vigo need to win at Valladolid or will be doomed to relegation.

Mallorca, who are second from bottom, travel to face Atletico Madrid.
