PITSO Mosimane is fast turning the corner for Mamelodi Sundowns.

The former Bafana Bafana coach still insists the Brazilians aren't "quite there yet", but winning three out of the six matches since Mosimane's arrival in December has brought back the team's confidence.

Sundowns host Lamontville Golden Arrows at Loftus Stadium tonight hoping to continue their decent start to 2013 after a goalless draw against log leaders Kaizer Chiefs and a 3-0 win against Maritzburg United. Under Mosimane, Sundowns are experiencing a resurgence.

They were bottom of the Absa Premiership table when the coach replaced Johan Neeskens in December.

Now, thanks to a six-game unbeaten run, Sundowns are eighth and could go as high as fifth with a win against Arrows tonight.

Kickoff is at 7.30.

Abafana Bes'thende are still licking their wounds from the weekend's narrow 1-0 defeat in their KwaZulu-Natal derby against AmaZulu and will be keen to get back to winning ways against Sundowns.

Ahead of their clash against Chiefs last week, Mosimane said winning the league would be a tall order and he would attempt to clinch it next season.

At the weekend, Orlando Pirates coach Roger de Sa said 62 points would be enough for any of the title challengers to be crowned champions.

Sundowns are 17 points behind log leaders Chiefs.

Arrows can't afford any more slip-ups in their battle to avoid relegation. Manqoba Mngqithi's side is just three points ahead of bottom side AmaZulu.

Mosimane relishes games where he has to think outside the box to beat his opponent.

So does Mngqithi, who, like Mosimane, was jobless for a while before returning to Arrows in October.

He was fired by Chippa United after only two matches.

The visitors will rely on Bongani Ntuli who scored a brace when they beat University of Pretoria last week.
