THULANI Serero is back in full training after a groin injury, but will not be ready to play for Ajax Amsterdam in their crucial Dutch Eredivisie match against PSV Eindhoven tomorrow.

The Bafana Bafana playmaker is still two weeks away from being able to take part in matches and will also be likely to miss Tuesday's trip to the Bernabeu to face Real Madrid in the Uefa Champions League.

He will have been desperate to play against PSV tomorrow, with Ajax trailing the league leaders by six points.

A likely comeback date is the Eredivisie match against Willem II on December 16 when he will be left with three matches in which to prove his form and fitness to national coach Gordon Igesund.

Following that game Ajax will be in action in a Dutch Cup match with Groningen on December 20, before they close their league programme for 2012 with a trip to Utrecht.

Igesund will give Serero every opportunity to prove his fitness and is desperate to have the 22-year-old in his Nations Cup squad.

"He is a quality player, we all know that and we are keeping a very close eye on his progress," Igesund said.

"It may be a case of we bring him to the Nations Cup and if he can give us a good 60 or 70 minutes in matches, then we will take it."
