Cape Verde vs Ghana will give Bafana insight

SUPERSPORT offers a glimpse into little-known Bafana opponents Cape Verde.

With the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations looming large, very little is still known about the style of play of South Africa's first opponents at the finals, Cape Verde, other than that most of their players play their club football in Portugal.

SuperSport's broadcast of the Cape Verdeans' midweek international friendly against a potential opponent in the latter rounds of the tournament, Ghana, will offer South Africans a view of the team who will be an enigma to many next year.

The match will be shown live on SuperSport 7 from 8.55pm tonight.

Even though Bafana have played the Cape Verdeans twice before, in 2006 World Cup qualifiers seven years ago, their lack of appearances at major international tournaments makes them relatively unknown opponents.

SuperSport's midweek broadcast of international friendlies includes world champions Spain's encounter with Panama and a mouth-watering clash between Holland and Germany.
