Khoza continues to lead the NSL

IRVIN Khoza was re-elected unopposed as chairperson of the National Soccer League at their quadrennial elections held at Gold Reef City yesterday.

A seven-member executive committee was later elected. It is comprised of Mike Mokoena, John Comitis, Daniel Simelane, Kaizer Motuang, Mato Madlala, Stanley Mathews and David Thidiela.

"I want to welcome the members of the executive committee and especially those who are here for the first time," said Khoza, who is also chairman of Premiership giants Orlando Pirates.

The Iron Duke also paid tribute to Jomo Cosmos's owner-coach Jomo Sono and Santos chairman Goolam Alie for having served the executive committee.

Added Khoza: "It has been a successful four-year term (amid) improving financial streams for the National Soccer League. Overall we have performed well as the outgoing Exco. We hope we can continue with the impressive work."
