Rovers say they've learnt from defeat

BLACKBURN Rovers coach Mondli Funani says their 4-2 drubbing by Sivutsa Stars was an eye-opener for them and that they have developed new strategies to use against Mpumalanga Black Aces.

They host Aces at Buffalo City Stadium today, with kickoff at 7.30pm.

Funani said they could not afford to lose another match because they have collected only one point from their opening two matches.

"We were able to work on the mistakes that cost us the match against Sivutsa on Saturday. Our main problem was failure to convert scoring chances.

"We have worked on the set-pieces and conversion of any created chances," Funani said yesterday.

"The boys have vowed to do everything in their power to ensure that we win this match."

AmaZayoni's coach Jacob "Cellular" Sakala, whose charges played to a goalless draw against African Warriors at the weekend, said they would not allow Rovers to spoil their unbeaten record.

Meanwhile, Jomo Cosmos have announced free entry for fans to their game against United FC today.
