THE three musketeers from Westbury - Benny Pailman, Cliff Martins and Peter Faver - will be facing their stiffest test as boxing trainers in the coming three weekends.

Their first assignment will be the mammoth task of guiding their charge Sipho "Tsunami" Taliwe to victory in the defence of his WBC International junior lightweight title against legendary Mzonke "Rose of Khayelitsha" Fana at Emperors Palace on Saturday night.

Then next Sunday Pailman, Martins and Faver will be in East London where they will bid to produce their second national champion in Sydney "The Skeleton" Maluleka, who will challenge featherweight king Sabelo Jubatha.

This bout at Alexander Golf and Country Club in East London will form part of the tournament that will feature the vacant WBA junior middle- weight female championship between Noni Tenge and Layla McCarter.

"Time is long overdue for Maluleka to become the champion. We are going there to take what is rightful ours," said Pailman, whose first national champion was Baldwin Tshiakale, who won the cruiserweight title from Earl Morais in 2003.

Right after Maluleka's fight, the trio will be involved in a development tournament that will be organised by Golden Gloves and Ruben Rasodi at Orlando community hall on October 6.

Pailman and company will man the corners of Joshua Studdard and Bjorn Moses. Studdard will make his debut against Collin Tloubatla while Moses, who has won his only bout so far, will fight Katiso Hlahane.

"It's been a busy three-month period for us doing preparations with all four boxers. Not one of these fights will be easy. They are all wars because it's must- win fights for our boxers," said Pailman.

He has assisted trainer Colin Nathan in four fights and will do so again on Saturday night when Nathan's charge Hekkie Budler defends his IBO strawweight title against Florante Condes at Emperors Palace.
