Proteas captain Graeme Smith has became a father for the first time after his wife, Morgan Smith, gave birth to a healthy baby girl this morning.
They've named her Cadence Christine Smith.
On Monday, Biff left the UK - where South Africa is on tour - to be with his wife for the birth.
He'll rejoin the squad before the start of the second Test next Thursday.
Smith confirmed his baby girl's arrival into the world on Twitter.
"Our daughter, Cadence Christine Smith was born this morning,3,35kg mother and daughter doing well.thx for all kind wishes that was amazing," he tweeted.
Smith wedded Irish pop singer and model Morgan Deane in August last year.
