DAINE Klate is more excited about possibly winning the treble with Orlando Pirates than a record fifth consecutive league title medal for himself.

"Winning the treble back-to-back will be a greater achievement for us than the fifth consecutive league title," Klate said yesterday.

Klate in the only player in the history of professional South African football to win the league for four consecutive seasons.

He won it three times in a row with SuperSport United before moving to Pirates and winning the Absa Premiership with them last season.

Should Pirates win their remaining two games against Bloemfontein Celtic and Lamontville Golden Arrows, Klate will take his record to five.

Bucs have already won the MTN8 and Telkom Knockout.

The best way to celebrate Bucs' 75th anniversary was to end the season with another treble, Klate said .

Pirates, who have not lost a game at home this season, welcome Celtic to Orlando Stadium in Soweto on Saturday with 20000 tickets already sold.
