BIG BREAK: Knockout specialist MacBute Sinyabi

KNOCKOUT specialist MacBute Sinyabi strongly believes the home crowd will count for nothing for Thai Thangthong Kittaweesuk, his opponent in an IBF mandatory junior featherweight world eliminator in Thailand on May 28.

It will be the South African junior featherweight champion's first overseas fight.

"I believe my time has arrived to ascend the international stage in terms of fighting for a world title," said Sinyabi, who is trained by famed mentor Nick Durandt.

"Fighting against Kittaweesuk is a step closer to realising my dream of becoming a world champion. Finally there is light at the end of the tunnel for me.

"The fight will not go the distance because I'm prepared to knock him down.

"There is no way I will leave the decision to the judges."

Durandt is equally confident that his boxer, who is a big fan of boxing legend Floyd Mayweather, will prevail in Thailand.

"My boxer is going to Thailand for a win. I have been there before. He has been viewing the DVDs of Floyd Mayweather in action. Every time he comes to me, he's got a new DVD of Floyd, which makes me proud," said Durandt.

"He works hard at the gym and is aiming high in boxing."

Kittaweesuk is an experienced fighter who has won all 23 of his fights as a professional. Sinyabi, from Mdantsane in Eastern Cape, has lost just once in 19 fights, and all 18 of his wins coming by knockout. Sinyabi's promoter Branco Milenkovic is also betting on the South African to win.
