United back at Peter Mokaba

SUPERSPORT United will again use the Peter Mokaba Stadium for their Nedbank Cup semifinal clash against AmaZulu next month.

The former PSL champions have opted to play the May 6 encounter in Polokwane because neighbours Mamelodi Sundowns, who are also in the semifinals, are using the Lucas Moripe Stadium for their match against Free State Stars.

Dates and venues for the cup games were released yesterday by the league and Sundowns will host Stars on May 5.

United have a contract with the Peter Mokaba Stadium and used the 2010 World Cup venue as their home ground in their 1-0 quarterfinal win against Jomo Cosmos on Sunday.

The stadium is also United's alternative home ground this season, the Lucas Moripe Stadium being their first option.

The league's cup committee is yet to decide on a venue for the cup final on May 26, but it is unlikely to be played in Gauteng if the two Tshwane teams - SuperSport and Sundowns - are the finalists.

A neutral ground is preferred when two teams from the same province are through to the final.
