ATTACKING midfielder Sifiso Myeni has finally been given the all clear by Orlando Pirates medical personnel to play competitive soccer again.

Assistant coach Teboho Moloi confirmed that Myeni, who joined Pirates in January carrying an ankle injury, has already started training with the senior team.

"Sifiso started training with the senior team last week after he was given the green light by the medical personnel to do physical contact at training. In the past few weeks, Sifiso was training on his own, where he was monitored by our physiotherapist (John Williams) soon after completing the rehabilitation process.

"He featured in a Reserve League game against FC Atlie on Thursday. We decided to introduce him in the last few minutes so that we can make an assessment.

"It was great to see him back in action in that game we won 4-0. He has been training hard and is eager to get back into action.

"We have decided not to rush him because of the pressure in challenging for the league title. Sifiso is a highly talented player who will also add value to Bafana Bafana in the 2014 Fifa World Cup qualifiers."

Myeni, a graduate of the Soweto Football Association development projects, could not be reached for comment.

Another Pirates player, defender Happy Jele, is also expected back in action soon after completing his rehabilitation process.

Jele, who also played for Bafana Bafana prior to the injury, has recovered after breaking his knee against Bidvest Wits in Mbombela on November 19.
