Wits are confident of bringing high-flying Moroka Swallows down to earth in their Premiership match at Dobsonville Stadium in Soweto tonight.

This is despite the fact that the Wits camp resembles a casualty ward, with most of their key players injured.

The injured include Thando Mngomeni, Ryan Chapman, Nyiko Chabangu and Sandile Sibande.

"This is a big challenge because Thando and Ryan are out until next season, but we will put up a big fight," said Wits director George Mogotsi.

"Our coach Roger de Sa has a plan for us to do well in this match. We have promoted several youngsters who will be given a run.

"He gave Zaid Patel a run against Mamelodi Sundowns, and the youngster scored on his debut. Expect more exciting youngsters from our academy. Swallows beat us 3-1 in the first round at home. We need to devise a plan to neutralise them," added Mogotsi.

From the Swallows camp, brand manager Siyabonga Sangweni promised yet another win over Wits.

"There is no time for generosity when it comes to league points," he said. "Coach Gordon Igesund has been working hard at training, everybody is expecting the Beautiful Birds to fly again by beating Wits.

"We cannot underestimate Wits, a team with excellent players like Bhongolethu Jayiya and Sifiso Vilakazi."

Siyabonga Nomvethe is a key player for the hosts up front.

Elsewhere tonight, Bloemfontein Celtic have vowed to beat Free State Stars again this season - this time in their own back yard.

Phunya SeleSele take a short trip to Namahadi for a clash with Ea Lla Koto in the Free State derby. Celtic defeated Stars 1-0 in their first round match in Botshabelo in October last year. "We want to beat them in their own back yard to prove that the first round win was no fluke."
