FREE State amateur side Winter Roses coach John Tlale is convinced that his players' names will be on the lips of soccer fans because of their success in the Nedbank Cup.

The former Bafana Bafana goalkeeper described the competition as a great platform to expose the club's players and build its profile.

Roses, whose star player is former Celtic midfielder Aaron Lepele, caused a major upset by eliminating National First Division side Bay United in the Cup last weekend. They will now play Premiership side Santos in the last 16 at Botshabelo Stadium on March 25.

"These are wonderful days for Winter Roses. We have some brilliant youngsters who want to use this tournament to make a name for themselves," said Tlale.

"We have already started with preparations for the game against Santos. It will be a tough one but we are confident that we will do well."
