AFTER Athletics South Africa finally paid him the R100000 prize for winning last year's Soweto Marathon, Michael Mazibuko is now eyeing the Two Oceans Marathon on Easter Saturday.
Sowetan ran a story last Thursday revealing the plight of the talented ultra-distance runner who was not paid for winning the popular race.
Mazibuko revealed that he was struggling to put food on the table and to buy supplements for the Two Oceans because he did not have money.
"Now that the Soweto Marathon money has been paid into my account, I will prepare adequately for the Two Oceans Marathon, which I'm determined to win in Cape Town. I want to thank Sowetan for highlighting my plight.
But he is still owed R30000 for finishing third at the SA Marathon Championships in George in February.
