THERE is no turning back for Platinum Stars following their rare 1-0 win over Bloemfontein Celtic, pledged new captain Joseph "Tight" Molangoane.

Molangoane is confident they will sustain the winning momentum by sending Limpopo Vodacom League side Dolphins packing in the Nedbank Cup tomorrow night.

The two sides meet at Royal Bafokeng Stadium at 7.30pm.

"Dolphins are a closed book to us but our technical staff are busy doing some research on them. We are training hard for them, like any other match," said Molangoane.

"There will be no special treatment, we want to challenge for this trophy. We owe the Bafokeng nation for their continued support."

Dolphins are from Limpopo where Baroka FC surprised everybody, including themselves, by reaching the semifinals of this tournament. The side that was guided by Sello "Glove" Chokoe at the time brushed aside giants like Moroka Swallows and Kaizer Chiefs en route to the semifinals.

Stars coach Owen da Gama said they were well prepared for Dolphins.

"We have gathered information on Dolphins. The plan will be to look at them further in the opening 15 to 20 minutes and make any adjustments that we feel are necessary based on how they play.

"By then we should have gauged their strengths and weaknesses and they will not be so much of a closed book to us.

"The boys are very focused, we all want to have a good cup run because that is exciting for the players and the fans," Da Gama said.

Tickets for the match are available at all Computicket outlets nationwide at R40 for adults and R10 for children.

Stars have had three quarterfinals showings in the Nedbank Cup over the past nine seasons and also reached the semifinals in 2007. Last season Dikwena were eliminated by Vasco da Gama in the round of 16.
