Jomo rooting for win

SCORING : Jomo Cosmos boss Jomo Sono

JOMO Sono will have his roots in mind when his battling Jomo Cosmos renew their rivalry with Black Leopards in a bottom-of-the-table Absa Premiership clash at Giyani Stadium tonight.

This is the only league match billed for today and Ezenkosi will be looking to register their first win of season, while Leopards will be gunning for their third.

Both teams were promoted to the top flight this season and their National First Division rivalry is still fresh in the mind going into tonight's confrontation.

Cosmos will need all-out effort to tame a Leopards side high in confidence after their 1-0 success over AmaZulu in their last league clash.

But Ezenkosi will draw inspiration from the fact that the match will be played in Sono's home town of Giyani.

"We could not have asked for a better venue to record our first win of the season," Cosmos publicist Lucky Mhlathi said yesterday.

Kickoff is at 7.30pm.
