INJURY WOES OVER: Pirates striker Dikgang 'Terminator' Mabalane

WHILE The Ghost will miss Benni McCarthy and Lucky Lekgwathi when Orlando Pirates engage BidVest Wits in an Absa Premiership fixture in Nelspruit on Saturday, they are likely to see Dikgang Mabalane back to a competitive match.

McCarthy and Lekgwathi are suspended after getting yellow cards in their 2-1 win over Moroka Swallows in Dobsonville three weeks ago.

McCarthy scored the two goals that fired the Buccaneers to the semifinals of the tournament.

Mabalane, who is giving Brazilian coach Julio Leal more options on the wings, has been struggling with a hamstring for almost two months.

He featured in the inaugural OR Tambo Soccer Challenge in Phokeng at the weekend.

Mabalane is anxious to play competitive soccer again.

"I feel better and I hope to be ready in the next few days. I appreciate the fact that I was given a run in the (OR Tambo Soccer Challenge) tournament at the weekend.

"That has certainly helped a lot," he said.
