Katlego Mphela grabbed a brace and Teko Modise produced a man-of-the-match performance

MAMELODI Sundowns went berserk as they routed Moroka Swallows 4-0 in their Premiership match here last night.

Not only did Johan Neeskens see another piece of jigsaw fit his Sundowns puzzle with this biggest season win, but the Downs coach also enthused as prime striker Katlego Mphela grabbed a brace and Teko Modise produced a man-of-the-match performance.

Released by Musa Nyatama, Mphela rounded goalie Greg Etafia to open the scoring just minutes after the break. Modise later broke a two-year goal drought when he added the second for the home side from a Mphela assist. Modise later turned provider for Nyatama, who thundered in the third.

As the fledging Birds battled through the dark, Mphela grabbed his brace with a clinical finish to underline humiliation for Swallows.
