Stars celebrate Women's Month in style

PLATINUM Stars have joined the rest of South Africa in celebrating Women's Month and will allow all women free entry to Royal Bafokeng Stadium when they take on Ajax Cape Town on Saturday at 3pm.

"This is a very important month and we are part of the celebrations. We are urging our female supporters and women in general to come in big numbers on Saturday," said Stars supporters' coordinator and media relations head Aubrey Molobi.

"This is a huge match for us and we want to start the season on a high by getting the three points."

Dikwena are in buoyant mood after winning a four-team tournament in Botswana on Saturday. The tournament featured Botswana's top clubs Mochudi Centre Chiefs, Uniao Flamengo Santos and Extension Gunners. Stars striker Terrence Mandaza scored a hat-trick in the 3-1 semifinal victory over Chiefs. The side went on to defeat Gunners 3-0 in the final.

Coach Owen da Gama is understandably pleased with the pre-season workout and says his side is looking forward to taking on the Urban Warriors.
