Musona looks set to join TSG Hoffenheim next week

Kaizer Chiefs and Zimbabwe international striker Knowledge “Smash and Grab” Musona is set to join German Bundesliga outfit, TSG Hoffenheim next week

This was after Amakhosi announced that negotiations with the Germans are at an advanced stage for the transfer of  Musona.

“It was a successful trip for the player who flew to Germany on Sunday and joined the team for the pre-season in Austria,’ said Chiefs general manager Bobby Motaung.

TSG Hoffenheim have reportedly offered Chiefs R15 million to buy the player.

Chiefs have already signed Bafana Bafana striker Lehlohonolo Majoro from AmaZulu as a possible replacement for Musona.

The club’s coach Vladimir Vermezovic is also targeting another Bafana Bafana striker in Bernard Parker should Musona sign with the Germans.

“Bernard has been on my  list of wanted  players for a long time,” said the Serbian coach, whose club take on English side Tottenham Hotspur in the Vodacom Challenge in Polokwane  on Saturday.

Motaung also announced that two  youngsters,   Andile  Nqabeni and Mpo  Sitayitayi have been loaned to National First Division side  Thanda Royal Zulu  for a season.

He said they were approached Royal  head coach and former Chiefs captain Neil “Mokoko” Tovey  allow the two players join the KwaZulu-Natal side for a season.

“Neil (Tovey) approached us about the two players and we agreed into a deal that will see the players continuing with their development at Thanda,” said Motaung.

“Both players did join the team for pre-season camp in Pretoria and are in good shape. We wish them well,” said Motaung.
