Pirates show off their loot

AFTER completing a treble, Orlando Pirates will go on an open bus tour to parade their trophies today

The Buccaneers on Saturday added the Nedbank Cup to their league and MTN8 trophies. To thank their supporters, who for a long time endured ridicule, the club will go on the road to show off their titles.

Club boss Irvin Khoza said at the club's end of the season awards last year that he would put his energies into the club to reclaim their place in South African football, and did he deliver!

Bucs communications manager Mickey Modisane said: "We dedicate these awards to our supporters, who stood by us through good times and bad times."

The parade will start from the club's office in Parktown at 10am.

Their first stop will be the mayoral chambers in Braamfontein where the players will hand mayor Parks Tau their autographed shirt.

They will proceed to the office of sports MEC Lebogang Maile before heading to Absa's head office. Khoza is expected to join them.

The club will also visit Maponya Mall in Soweto and the Joburg CBD.
