ATHLETICS South Africa has released a bumper 2011 calendar, which they hope will help athletics to be razor sharp for international competitions.
ASA deputy administrator Hendrick Ramaala said they are happy that a full programme has been developed catering for cross country, road running, track and field.
While cross country and track and field events were organised last year, road running suffered big time after Nedbank terminated its sponsorship.
"We are happy that athletics is now back in the hands of the athletics people. Everything is beginning to get back into shape," Ramaala said.
"The new calendar that we have introduced for this year is an inclusive one, we just need to work hard to get solid financial support."
The ASA 2011 calendar is:
January 22, Potchefstroom - S A Cross Country Trials
February 13, George - SA Marathon Championships
February 19, Potchefstroom - Yellow Pages Series I
February 25, Pretoria - Yellow Pages Series II
