Sakala, Gqosha reunited

CONTROVERSIAL former Dynamos coach Jacob "Cellular" Sakala has teamed up with his former assistant Lefa "Mhlegazi" Gqosha at Vodacom Promotional League side Soshanguve Sunrise.

Gqosha was unveiled as Sakala's assistant during the club's launch ceremony in Soshanguve, north of Pretoria, at the weekend. Sakala joined Sunrise last month after his fall-out with the management of Dynamos, where he was replaced by Shepherd Murape.

Sunrise are owned by businessman Richard Motloung, who owns LR Big Brain Construction.

Motloung said they have put in place a three-year plan for the club to be promoted to the elite league.

"With Sakala and Lefa at the helm, I'm confident that we will achieve our goal of playing in the top league.

"Lefa and Sakala have a wealth of experience and I have no doubt that they will deliver," Motloung said.

"We have made available all the required resources and it is up to the technical team to help us to achieve our ambitions."

Sakala said the technical team was ready to accomplish the club's plan.

He said the club was planning a camp in Mpumalanga for this weekend.
