THIS year's Secunda Jazz and Cultural Festival (Sejacufe), which begins today, is a rich exhibition of local talent.
The festival, in its eighth year, will take place at various venues in and around Secunda, Mpumalanga. The three-day festival ends on Saturday.
Sejacufe is aimed at giving local talent a chance to rub shoulders with professionals in the entertainment industry.

Since its inception the festival has grown from strength to strength, providing the people of Mpumalanga and surroundings with much-needed Easter entertainment.
The festival starts tonight with a gala dinner at the Emerald Casino. Theo Kgosinkwe and local singer Mpucuko Mthombeni will entertain guests.
Tomorrow the Youth Festival takes place at the Embalenhle Stadium, featuring popular DJs Mzet, Nutty Nys, Mzwezwe, Fistaz, Clax, Sgubu and Kent. Tickets for this hugely-popular event cost R100 at Computicket and R120 at the gate.
The highlight of the festival is on Saturday at the Secunda Stadium at 2pm, when veteran musicians Sipho "Hotstix" Mabuse, Lira, Caiphus Semenya, Selaelo Selota, Letta Mbulu and Theo Kgosinkwe will thrill the expected throngs of Easter revellers.
Local bands such as Mamela Masindi, Movers PMJ, Mpucuko and Bongani Mtshali will perform as supporting acts. Tickets for this leg of the festival cost R150 at Computicket and R180 at the gate.
