Correctional Services said that “matters are under control” at Johannesburg’s Sun City Prison on Wed.
ORLANDO Pirates coach Ruud Krol is going about his business as usual, despite calls for the Dutch legend to be shown the exit.
Krol was at the 2010 Telkom Knockout draw yesterday at the Wanderers in Johannesburg. He put on a straight face despite the Buccaneers suffering one of their worst ever defeats on Sunday.
Pirates were knocked out of the African Champions League in the preliminary rounds and to Gaborone United from Botswana, nogal !
Asked if he was feeling the heat after a series of defeats, including the one against minnows from Botswana, Krol said: "Coaches are always under pressure. It's a daily thing, especially when things are not going according to plan. This has been a disappointing season for us.
"The team is playing well but the problem is that we are not scoring goals. We could have wrapped up the game against United early in the first half.
"The worrying factor is that we create many opportunities, but are not scoring many goals.
"Our players should have been more professional towards the end of the game on Sunday."
There have been reports linking Pitso Mosimane to his former club, Pirates, should he not be given the position of Bafana Bafana coach after the 2010 Fifa World Cup.
Mosimane, whom many see as the right man to succeed Brazilian coach Carlos Alberto Parreira, is on record as saying his focus is to help Bafana do well in the World Cup.
Meanwhile, there were wild celebrations in Gaborone yesterday after United became the first local team to get beyond the first round of the Champions League.
