A delegation, which includes Anglican priest Canon Gideon Byamugisha, delivered the petition to the country's parliament yesterday. Byamugisha said the bill taught intolerance and hatred and is counter to the constitution's anti-discrimination laws.
Speaker of parliament Edward Ssekandi Kiwanuk said the bill had been presented and would soon be debated.
