I LISTENED with horror to utterances by Jeff Radebe that there is no reliable evidence to suggest that Menzi Simelane is not a fit and proper person to head the NPA.
He said the Ginwala findings were wrong in concluding that Simelane was dishonest and his integrity questionable.
That Radebe may even go the extent of laying blame on everyone to protect Simelane is frivolous and regrettable to say the least.
Radebe is shifting the goalposts. Simelane was found to be dishonest and a liar, which cast aspersions on his integrity. Nobody ever questioned President Jacob Zuma's prerogative to appoint a national director, but we are concerned about the character of his appointee.
