LIMPOPO MEC for education in Namane Masemola has slammed randy teachers.
Masemola said his department was going to fire all teachers found to have had sexual relations with pupils or to have impregnated them.
He was speaking at an educational imbizo held at the Mokwakwaila sports grounds in the Modjadjiskloof area yesterday.
The imbizo was attended by more than 4000 teachers, principals, circuit managers, parents, headmen and senior members of the Modjadji royal family.
Masemola said having sex with children below the age of 18 was tantamount to rape.
In response, teachers said teenage pregnancies would continue as long as children were allowed to go to school with cellphones fitted with pornographic material.
