Sewer stink driving away business trade

By Siyabonga Mhlongo | Nov 17, 2009 | COMMENTS [ 0 ]

DURBAN commuters and businesspeople have complained about a "terrible" smell coming from a sewer pipe stretching along Mahatma Gandhi Road.

The stink has existed since the Durban municipality changed the area's sewer pipes three years ago.

Commuters say the smell has become unbearable.

The stench from the damaged sewer line has forced business owners to demand that the municipality immediately fix the sewer as the smell was chasing away potential customers.
