PLATINUM Stars welcome a confident Maritzburg United side at home, cautiously aware of what coach Gordon Igesund and his charges could do to them.

The two sides lock horns at Royal Bafokeng stadium in Rustenburg tomorrow.

The "Tycoons" are looking for their first win of the season. Coach Steve Komphela told Sowetan they know what to expect from United.

"We know that they are playing very well lately and knowing Gordon Igesund and his attitude, it's not going to be an easy match. They will not make life easy for us, but I must say that we are ready," he said.

"We are looking for our first win of the season and playing at home, we have to start winning. A win would definitely boost the confidence of the players."

Komphela said his Japanese striker Norikazu Murakami would not feature because he is still waiting for a work permit.

Igesund said The Team of Choice were not going to rest on their laurels after a string of good results had lifted them to second place on the log.

"Things are coming together and I am happy. This is all because of good preparations, something we did not have last season."
