Bravo, Joel Santana

Hail! Joel Santana.

The Bafana Bafana coach once again proved that he is a man of principles and a disciplinarian.

Forget about his sometimes questionable coaching tactics, but judge him by the way he deals with his problematic players in the squad.

We are saying bravo to Santana for taking yet another brave step to ensure players toe the line in the national squad. Yesterday, the Brazilian sent one Nasief Morris packing from the camp.

Morris, normally a down-to-earth gentleman, seems to thinks that he is now bigger than Bafana by violating the code of conduct laid down to all players.

The code of conduct obliges players to be interviewed by the media, among other things, but Morris wants to be an exception to the rule.

He does not want to be interviewed for the duration of the Confederations Cup, sies! We wonder if he does the same with the media in Spain where he plays club football. Morris, we acknowledge your contribution to the national squad, but still be believe life will continue at Bafana Bafana without you, just like it does without one Benni McCarthy.

Santana earned my respect and admiration when he excluded McCarthy from the current squad for the Confederations Cup after the Blackburn Rovers' striker snubbed Bafana earlier on.
