Western Cape Premier Helen Zille has called on the ANC to restrain its allies amid plans by the MK Military Veterans Association to march on her office today.

"Well, I think the ANC leaders should call those hotheads and loudmouths to account.

"I ignore them - I'm not making an issue with them," Zille told the SABC yesterday. "Quite frankly I am getting on with my work and they must dance on the sidelines.

"It is their right to dance on the sidelines, it is my duty to work," the SABC quoted her as saying.

Earlier yesterday, the the spokesperson for the MKMVA, Fatty Booi, said the veterans would march to the Western Cape legislature to demand that Zille apologise to President Jacob Zuma for saying that he [Zuma] had put his wives at risk of contracting HIV when he had unprotected sex with an infected woman. - Sapa
